We follow the same theme throughout the whole school. The themes are carefully planned in order to ensure that the pupils have experiences of the principles of the new Curriculum for Wales. The themes will create new opportunities for the pupils and also to enjoy and raise the aspirations of each pupil.
Every Monday we start the week with ‘Dydd Llun Llon’ – Happy Monday. An opportunity for every child to come back to school after the weekend. The children are put into small groups and have experiences such as cooking, STEM , artwork, drama groups and outdoor learning experiences.
After Dydd Llun Llon we feel that our pupils are ready to start working and learning. We will listen to the children about what they would like to learn within the theme. At the beginning of each term the whole school and staff come together and brainstorm ideas about the theme.
